Giving a shout out to Starzlife!

img_0515.JPGHey everybody!  Things have been CRAZY busey busy the past few days!   I have been on Inside Edition, a radio morning show in Toronto and rumor is that Ryan Seacrest is trying to get a hold of me to be a part of a support group for victims who have been subject to the craziness that is Gary Busey!  Wheww!  Last night we went to a one year celebration/fundraiser for Make a Wish Foundation of a place called Celadon on third and Fairfax.  It was so funny how the people I was interviewing started asking ME questions!  I guess everyone has seen the video by now on YouTube!  The guy on the radio this morning said that Mr. Busey’s people told them that I was very professional and some other nice stuff.   That was nice.   Starzlife has a few contributors even though I am the one getting all the attention right now. . .I wanted to write this morning before I went to school to say a special “Thank you!”  to ROXY for being so cool and supportive!  ROXY is so busy with all of her own stuff and yet she finds time to fill you all in on “the scoop” daily!  She really is a great writer and is super funny!  She always makes me laugh and I love how HUGE her heart is.  Also to Leo who finds time to write in between Bikram yoga classes, professional party crashing , and frequent trips to Barney’s of New York! And to everyone else who writes and writes in your comments.   This is my hobby.  And you guys are making it so much fun!  The most important thing to me is that people see the importance of charities like the Children Uniting Nations and the Make a Wish Foundation.  That’s really what matters!

Gary Busey is going deaf! Speak slower, don’t gibber and slur your words. I heard the interview and thought that Gracie was a typical dumbshit 11 year old with her unintellible questions, wasting the time of a fine actor and artist!

If you notice at the beginning of the interview Gary said, nicely, “How you doing, darling?” When you started asking about people who are not acting sane right now, he probably thought you were trying to be smart. He has been accused of acting just like them!!! Don’t go over to an actor who is or was having problems and ask them about someone who is having the same problem. He probably felt insulted. He also thought that if you were adult enough to ask an adult questions, then you have to be adult enough not to get hurt when you don’t like the answers they give.

Gary’s allright with me. At least he’s honest, maybe the most honest actor in Hollywood right now.

Don’t listen to all these negative comments. Your 11 years old, therefore you have every right to pick whatever hobby you want. If you were my daughter I’d be proud. Busey’s just an a-hole, and you can tell by his demeanor and how he acts towards others.

I had the unfortunate displeasure to meet Mr. Busey when I worked for a Hotel in Austin, Texas where he was filming a movie. He was rude, abusive, chased after other female guests, expected the staff to “line up some P—Y, ran up bills and then skipped town without paying any of them. He was so abusive to one employee who was 8 months pregnant that she had to go to the Emergency Room. He was a prick all those years ago and he is the same prick today….he’s a has been.

By the way, it does not matter that the little girl was shy and softspoken, anyone who does that to a child is a bully and a coward……

You both should calm down a bit. The questions this girl asked Gary were completely innocent, heck she even asked him for his wisdom and advice to todays young stars. She seemed to be speaking clearly in my honest opinion, but I don’t blame Busey for not hearing the question since the event was rather loud. She’s 11, give her a break, you can’t expect everyone to go out and give a perfect interview in front of so many people. Personally I think she did great and the fact that she was still kind and respectful even when he told her her request for a shoutout was stupid made her look far more professional than the washed up “celebrity”. Pardon the grammatical/spelling mistakes as i’m not a writer, just figured i’d add my 2 cents.

    Hi Gracie,

Well it appears there are lots of people out there who have no soul and no self love, so they have to bash an 11 year old to make themselves feel powerful. (I’m referring to the two jackasses who posted the first two comments. Somehow it’s OK for every other journalist in the world to ask every other celebrity in the world this exact same question, but it is not OK for you to… Hmmmm….)

Anyway, I don’t think Gary Busey intended to be mean to you; it’s possible he really didn’t hear you.

More likely though, he just did not know how to react. You put him on the spot and he didn’t know what to say. You see, people usually take things personally, and maybe he thought you were asking him this question as a backhanded way of insulting him and/or calling attention to the fact that HE has had problems with substance abuse and too much partying in the past. (Like, hey, you were there Gary, so what advice do you have for these other losers? I know how it makes me feel when people ask me the same thing.)

So, you have to realize that he was probably caught off guard and possibly even angered by your question, when in reality you (I assume) didn’t mean it that way at all. I guess you just have to be more careful to try and anticipate how someone might be offended by a particular question, based on who that person is and what their history is.

As for these losers trying to say mean things to you, pay them no mind. You have a very bright career ahead of you, and there will always be jealous people trying to bring you down. Ignore them and recognize their behavior has nothing to do with you. They just like to be mean because they are foul rotten people who like to spread their misery to others as much as possible.

Don’t become like them; so much of the celebrity watcher crowd falls into this mean-spirited category and it would be a shame to see a rising star like yourself turn into this foul variety of loser….

And while I agree, you do need to develop a thick skin if you’re going to continue in showbiz, don’t let the criticisms get to you. I would like to see either of those people try to do a good interview at age eleven. They were probably busy picking their noses and eating the boogers at age eleven. I think you did a wonderful job and I know you will just get better. Rock on, Gracie!

I think the encounter was a bit of a misunderstanding. It would seem that Gary Busey might have some untreated hearing loss, and Gracie might not have enunciated her questions. Adding to the mix that he probably misheard her questions; probably only hearing words like trouble, law, and problems… well, you get where I’m going.

Don’t let an incident like this get to you, Gracie, but you also have a responsibility to yourself and your readers… make sure you know what you’re asking, and who you’re asking (do your research).

Cocaine is a helluva drug and having your brain damaged with it can make things only worser. Mr. Busey had them both, so I am not surprised he acted this way towards Gracie.

But on the other hand, I like the way you stayed cool Gracie. Other people of your age would have cried or something like that, but you didn’t. You will make a great journalist someday Gracie!
