Mischa Barton to accept plea deal, avoid jail.

Mischa Barton, who was arrested on December 27th in Los Angeles for a DUI, struck a plea deal in court that will keep her out of jail sources are reporting… Barton, who used to  star on the OC, and now does who knows what, will plead no contest at her DUI hearing on thursday in a Beverly Hills courtroom, which will land her with a 3 year probation term, but unlike her former pals Paris and Nicole, will keep her out of the slammer!  Also to her punishment will be a three month alcohol-education course, about 1,700 in fines, and the minor infraction of driving without a license.  Additional marijuana possession charges were dropped due to the small amount found at the time. (luckily for her she must have smoked it all before getting picked up??)  This was Barton’s first offense and she has expressed great disappointment in herself since the incident.  So once again a hollywood starlet with drugs, no license and a DUI gets off easy while the regular folks continue to pay the price!
