UK government says: “Not so fast Snoop!”

021808_sl_snoopdogg04.JPG After a ban on Rapper Snoop Dogg’s visa to enter the United Kingdom was lifted in January 2008 by an asylum immigration tribunal, the UK government is challenging this decision in court today.Snoop, who’s real name is Calvin Broadus Jr. was arrested along with five members of his entourage at London’s Heathrow Airport in 2006 after an altercation left 5 officers injured.  Snoop’s visa ban, left 65,000 fans ‘up in smoke’ when a 2007 concert with Sean “Diddy” Combs had to be canceled due to the doggfather not being granted entrance into the country.   Snoop, who is also currently serving 5 years probation and 800 hours of community service here in the USA for gun and drug related charges, certainly seems like someone you do not want to mess with.  You have to wonder what the UK border boys are thinking with this decision?!  The UK border agency said they were “disappointed” in the decision to lift the ban which brought todays challenge.  The hearing is currently taking place and we will keep you updated right here with the verdict!
