So all the chatter about Vanessa Hudgens auditioning for the role of Leah Clearwater in the New Moon film was just rumor, but let’s not count out the possibilities of her appearing as the female warewolf in the film version of the third book in the Twilight series, Eclipse.
Screen writer Melissa Rosenberg, who is in charge of adapting all of Stephanie Meyer’s novels into movies has recently said at a film premiere, “I had heard Vanessa Hudgens was going up for the part of Leah. At the moment, the part of Leah doesn’t happen until the third movie.”
The character of Leah Clearwater appears briefly in the New Moon book, but in a scene that would have no reason for being in the film.
Sho at least it’s confirmed Vanessa has her sights set on it. Though she’d make a better vampire, whatever it takes to get her in this series is good enough!
