There’s a report going around that Kimora Lee-Simmons secretly wed her long time squeeze Djimon Hounsou last summer in his native land of Benin, Africa.
Simmons, who at the time was still yet to have her divorce from Russell Simmons finalized, wouldn’t legally be able to marry, but likely it was some sort of African commitment ceremonies.
According to a source,
“Both Kimora and Djimon wore traditional dashikis. She went whole hog with the African theme − there were African drums, a traditional ceremony with dancers . . . they even had a hut!” Adding that both of Kimora’s daughters were in tow for the ceremony as well, even though they weren’t having any of it! “Aoki slept through the entire ceremony, and Ming cried. They were pretty confused as to what was going on.”
African weddings remind me of Ace Ventura 2, and everytime I read about Djimon Hounsou I think of Digi-mon, those fake ass Pokemon’s from the 1990’s.
Anyways, Simmon’s divorce from Russell Simmons was finalizied on January 28th, so a real American wedding ceremony could be right around the corner.
