The Malawi Supreme Court is set to rule tomorrow on whether or not Madonna can adopt four-year-old Chifundo “Mercy” James.
Madonna’s attempted adoption of the girl was rejected by the court several months ago on the grounds that Madonna didn’t meet the requirement of having lived in the country for 18 months prior to adopting.
The court previously waived the requirement for Madonna on the adoption of her son David Banda, but the question remains whether or not they will waive it in Mercy’s case.
