Naomi Campbell’s New Attitude on Fur: “I’d Rather Get Paid Than Go Naked”

Cell-phone-hurling mannequin Naomi Campbell must value the life of Russian sables and personal assistants equally – 15 years after modelling her birthday suit in PETA’s iconic “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign, Naomi has reconsidered. Turns out furs are nice and comfy and they’re not even expensive like everyone says – people actually pay you to wear them!

That’s what furrier (not be confused with “furry“) Dennis Basso is doing – Naomi is the face of his new campaign for fur coats. Well, that makes sense. It’s not like a sable can be the face of the ads, since their faces are cut off and tossed into an incinerator.

Naomi clearly lacks to moral convictions of Nia Long – she’s a PETA PSA’er who means it. Seriously – she equates fur with the Holocaust.

why do people always make such a big deal of celebrities wearing fur and not wearing leather or eating meat, for example. I mean, if we go around killing cattle for food, why is it so immoral to wear fur? And yeah, people change over time. So did the fur industry. They became more transparent and even launched the OA label (the responsible fur label) a few years back to assure consumers they are making responsible choice when buying fur. And I think Naomi looks really beautiful in these photos, in case no one noticed that 😉

They make a big deal because alot of those animals aren’t killed for their fur like leather and meat. Alot just are shaved or skinned. Alot obviously die for it too. I personally could care less and am a fur supporter because I think it looks hot! Do people hate on shaving sheep to make wool sweaters?

Peta just needs to go sit on a sausage
