Yes, this news is apparently real. Spencer Pratt is pulling an Ocho Cinco and legally changing his name for gimmick purposes.
Spencer, who often refers to himself as ‘The King’ will be filing papers this week to legally change his name to King Spencer Pratt.
Pratt recently revealed to Access Hollywood; “I have decided that if there is a Queen of England and Prince William, we need to have a King of America, and I have nominated myself for that title.”
Though he has not filed yet, a rep for Pratt has confirmed that he will be doing so later this week. Likely, on The Hills.
