Despite less than stellar ratings and the cancellation of shows, NBC plans to stand behind Jay Leno and keep him on the air.
There were reports this morning that the network was thinking about canceling the show, which has only been on the air for a couple of months at the 10 o’clock time slot, but it appears that isn’t the case.
“Jay Leno is one of the most compelling entertainers in the world today. As we have said all along, Jay’s show has performed exactly as we anticipated on the network. It has, however, presented some issues for our affiliates. Both Jay and the show are committed to working closely with them to find ways to improve the performance.”
Expect less, get more! Great motto, NBC!
