Celebrity trend alert! Fighting with your mom is the new coolest thing!
There’s a saying in journalism: two examples make a trend. In that case, we’re currently in the midst of a fight-with-your-mom epidemic. Frances Bean vs. Courtney, Bow Wow vs. Ms. Bow Wow and now Jason Davis vs. Barbara Davis. OK, fine, Barbara Davis is his grandmother, but that’s his mom’s mom. It’s on some next-level fight-with-your-mom ish.
Page Six reports that the overweight, peroxided heroin addict (that sounds like I’m trying to be mean but I’m just being accurate) got into a shrieky hissy fit with his mom’s mom at HBO’s after-party for the Golden Globes. Jason was recently hospitalized for a foot infection but didn’t want to let that stop him from rolling down the red carpet in his wheelchair. Barbara screamed, “You shouldn’t be here. Go home!” before adding, “Go home! Go home! Go home!” to which Jason responded with, “I don’t have to take this. I’m going home.” Oh, no, wait, that was Urkel and the dad on Family Matters. What actually happened is Babs tried to get Jason tossed by security and couldn’t. Well, that makes sense. Jason Davis is difficult to lift under ideal circumstances; add a wheelchair and we’re looking at immovable weight. I know, you’re thinking he’s in a wheelchair, why not just roll the guy out, but Jason Davis probably has one of those rich people wheelchairs with brakes and HD radio.
