This Week’s Top 10 Music Videos on YouTube

Youtubetop10

1. Taylor Swift – Taylor Swift accepting the GRAMMY for Best Country Song

First, this is not music. Footage of a musician doing nothing musical should not be categorized under “music.” This belongs here as much as R. Kelly’s piss tape. That’s not true, R. Kelly’s tape deserves to be number one. Second, this video is a perfect example of why ALL awards should be given out in a pre-telecast. Do you think this speech would have been less boring if delivered in front of group of shrieking Drake fans and bitter executives? If you said “yes,” you are Taylor Swift’s manager.

2. Beyonce – Grammy Performance

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Grammys

Boy, I can just tell it’s going to be one of those countdowns, by which I mean an easy-to-write one because everything’s already been yanked by YouTube before I actually have to watch and comment on it.

3. Lady Gaga and Elton John – Performance 2010 Grammy Awards – Poker Face/Speechless/Your Song

Nice video quality. I’m being sarcastic. Was this recorded on acetate? It’s so pixelated and blocky it looks like a Chuck Close painting that sounds bad.

4. [HD] Eminem, Lil Wayne & Drake – Live at Grammys 2010 – Drop The World / Forever [UNCENSORED!!!!]

Hey, look, something half-decent sneaked into the Top 10. And here I thought that some sort of spam filter to prevent that from happening.

5. Justin Bieber – Baby HD Music Video One Time One Less Lonely Girl

What did I tell you last week about plastering the screen with garbage AND packing the title with extra words? To add insult to injury, this isn’t the real video. Some ringtone salesman spliced together a bunch of Justin Bieber footage from another video and added Ludacris. Did you think I wouldn’t notice that the mouths don’t match the words because only the hearing-impaired can pick up on that sort of thing? Well, I’m not vision-impaired. Also, you know you’re water-downed feather-soft pop when the acoustic version of your song rocks harder.(And is 50,000 times better.)

6. Grammy Awards 2010 – Beyoncé – If I Were a Boy + You Oughta Know

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Grammys

Told you.

7. Beyonce – Grammy Performance 2010

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Sony Music Entertainment

Folks, I know 99% of the people who upload videos to YouTube don’t own the copyright to the material, but they get away with it because no one cares if the episode of Small Wonder with the Russian robot kid makes it onto the web.  Beyonce is still making money for Jews. Of course they’re gonna pull it.

8. Nick Jonas – Album Street Day 2.2.10.mov

Dudes, you don’t need the goddamn file extension in the title. Got that.txt? This is a “funny” video to promote the youngest Jonas brother’s solo album. He’s the one who write all the songs, and from watching this video, I gather he’s the one who can sing, too. Why on Earth do they have the permed-straight older brother caterwaul off-key?

9. Jedward featuring Vanilla Ice – Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby) Official Video

This one’s unembeddable, but I’ve already written about it for the site anyway. I wanted to instead present you with Jedward’s performance of “Ghostbusters,” but that one’s unembeddable, too. It’s actually worth clicking here for, though.

10. Pink Soars During ‘Glitter in the Air’ Grammy Performance 2010

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Sony Music Entertainment

zzzzzzzzzzz what? Oh, that’s good.
