Sarah Silverman sat down with CNN to discuss comedy, Obama, and her incurable Jewishness recently. Her interview comes on the heels of a controversial appearance at the TED Conference. TED stands for “technology, entertainment, and design,” and its membership included Nobel laureates, artists, scientists, and investors. Sarah did jokes about the source of life being her father’s genitals. The performance did not please TED Conference organizer Chris Anderson, who called the performance “god-awful” via Twitter. Sarah’s response: “Kudos to @TEDChris for making TED an unsafe haven for all! You’re a barnacle of mediocrity on Bill Gates’ asshole.” Come on, Chris. Did you even know who Sarah Silverman is, or did you think you were booking some Israeli stem-cell researcher of the same name?
