Like Father, Like Son: Jaden Smith Opens With Box Office Victory

It must be in the gene pool, but the name Smith topped the box office this weekend.

Just like his dad has done so many times before, Jaden Smith’s ‘The Karate Kid’ won big this weekend at the box office.

The Karate Kid brought in $56,000,000 which was $30,000,000 more than the runner up, another re-vamped 80’s  classic, The A-Team.

This coming weekend,  little Jaden will have to compete with the release of the long anticipated Toy Story 3, and the following week Eclipse,  so he ought to be thankful that they picked this past weekend for release!
