Brett Favre to be Fined, Not Suspended

According to multiple reports,  NFL commissioner Roger Goodell plans to fine Brett Favre for the racy text message exchange he had with a New York Jets employee during the 2008 season.

The NFL launched an investigation over the texts when photos of Favre’s goal post hit the internet, photos he allegedly sent to sideline reporter Jen Sterger while both of them were working for the New York Jets organization.

The commish lead an investigation to see if the texts violated the NFL’s personal conduct policy, but it looks like the future Hall of Famer is going to avoid suspension and just be hit with a fine.  (If for nothing else, because there’s only one game left of the season, and he’ll probably retire from there.)

The announcement should come later today, or tomorrow.
