Backstreet Boy AJ McLean has checked himself into a rehab facility, the singer confirms in a statement.
Says McLean;
“For personal reasons, I’ve checked myself into a rehab clinic. With 2011 being a busy year for Backstreet [Boys], I want to be healthy and at my best. Thank you for all of your support and respecting my family and friends privacy during this time. I’ll see you really soon.”
This isn’t AJ’s first brush with treatment. He entered programs in 2001, 2002 for depression and alcoholism.
McLean tweeted to his fans this week: ” See u on the other side.”
The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block will kick off their NKOTBSB tour in 2011.
