Are GPS Enabled Phones Sending Out Dangerous Information?

Is the GPS in your cell phone providing TMI when it comes to sharing photos?

Geotagging is a feature built into most smart phones with digital cameras right now.

It’s neat when you pull up the map and see all the places you have taken photos, but it also has it’s negative aspects.

Anyone with an interest in where you are, where you took your photos, or where the item in your photos is at can find that out with a simple right click.

The longitute and latitude can be taken from the photo’s data, and punched into an easy to use service such as Google Maps.

The info can get you as close as a fifteen foot radius to the location the photo was taken.

Be careful when you snap photos and publish them online!
