Shaquille O’Neal Injured in Return to Celtics

After missing more than two months of basketball with an injury, Shaquille O’neal made his return to the Boston Celtics on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons.

A return that lasted only six minutes before O’neal hobbled off the court with a leg injury.

This comes at a crucial time for the Celtics, who were hoping to have a healthy Shaq back before the playoffs, as they are currently a half game behind the Miami Heat for the second spot in the Eastern Conference, with a crucial game against the first seed, the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night.

No word on whether or not Shaq will be ready to suit up this week or for the remainder of the regular season, but the injury prone center, who is in his 20th year in the NBA could make a huge liability for the reigning Eastern conference champion Celtics should he not be at 100% come playoff time.
