50 Cent had teamed up with The Weinstein company to host an intimate bash in New York City in honor of the new flim Scream 4, but party planners got sent into panic mode when the rapper posted the official invitation onto his Twitter page.
After 50 posted the invite, extra security had to be brought in to deal with fans who decided to show up. 50 Cent has over four million followers on Twitter.
Mike Zimet, who is head of event security for The Weinstein company told reporters: “While we appreciate 50’s enthusiasm, we are not quite prepared in the event that his four million followers turn up.”
Scream 4 hits theaters on Friday.
