Sorry For Supporting! Summit Entertainment Sues Twilight Fansite

Okay, so it’s not as innocent as it sounds.

The head honchos at Summit Entertainment are suing the editors  of Twilight.com, but not just for being the easiest access fan site for the movie franchise.

Twilight.com is reportedly using Twilight Saga trademarked materials, and luring fans in and making them believe it is an officially licensed site.

The legal docs read,

“Summit learned that defendant is using the Twilight intellectual property on his website in a variety of ways, including posting links to download Twilight recordings, posting links for unauthorized Twilight contests and fake casting calls for the Twilight motion pictures,”

They are claiming that the sites creator, Tom Markson is leading fans to believe that Twilight.com is the official site for the motion picture.  It’s not.

This isn’t the first time they have crossed paths either, they have dealt with a similar suit back in 2009.

With all the millions The Twilight Saga has generated, why not just make him an offer he can’t refuse for the domain rights?
