11:11 has a very special meaning for Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’connell.
The couple sends each other a text any time they look down and stumble upon the time on their clocks, so they decided to renew their wedding vows on this once in a lifetime date.
Says O’connell; “If we happen to look at our phone and it’s 11:11, one of us always texts the other,” adding, “There’s two of us – Rebecca and I – and the two of our kids.”
That’s where they got the idea to renew their vows on 11/11/11.
“A couple of nights ago, I said to Rebecca, ‘We should renew our vows at 11:11 and 11 seconds on 11/11.’ And she said, ‘We should do it at 11th Street and 11th Ave. ‘ ” The couple is currently living in New York while O’connell is appearing on Broadway.
So they did it! Congrats on such a happy marriage and two great kids!
