David Hasselhoff Seeking ‘Baywatch’ Movie Rights

Apparently appearing as a lifeguard in the upcoming Piranha 3DD film has gotten David Hasselhoff’s juices flowin’.

The Hoff has placed a bid on the movie rights to ‘Baywatch,’ the 90’s hit show that helped launch his career.

Hasselhoff told UK TV show “Loose Women,” “Right now I’m trying to get the rights to the movie. I would be in it. I would produce it… I would be the father figure, and you put a hot young kid in there and he comes to dad (for advice) – like The Sting, like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”

No mentions of the famous red lifeguard trunks, the beach, or Pamela Anderson, but if we trust anyone with a film based on “Baywatch,” it’s Mitch Buchannen.
