Christina Aguilera is getting older, and considering giving her estranged father another chance.
Aguilera and her mother Shelly left home to move in with her grandmother when she was younger, after suffering the physical, mental, and verbal abuse of her father, ormer U.S. army sergeant Fausto Wagner Xavier Aguilera.
The singer tried to reunite with her father back in 2009, but admitted it brought up too many painful memories to make him a constant being in her life.
Now that she’s 31, she may be ready to give it another go.
She recently explained to ‘Latina Magazine,’ “I’ve talked about how rough things were for me and I’m sure he’s heard it. He can’t be thrilled about it. So maybe one day we can do lunch… I’m 31 years old now. Maybe it’s time.”
