Celebrities Help Raise $1.4 Million For Charity

Celebrities including Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Heidi Klum were on hand at a charity event in NYC this week to help raise money for the Elizabeth Taylor American Foundation for AIDS Research.

The event, which was hosted by Parker and held at Manhattan’s Cipriana Wall Street  included an auction in which a portrait of Richard Gere, taken by late photographer Robert Mapplethorpe was sold to the high bid of $20,000.

Other celebs in attendance included Woody Allen, Jennifer Hudson and Cindy Crawford, who presented an award to Roberto Cavalli for all of his charity work.

The event raised more than $1.4 million for the charity.
