Act of Valor won big this weekend outside of the Academy Awards, by taking home the weekend box office.
‘Valor’ is an action film featuring real Navy Seals based on true events which stars real Navy seals, and topped the box office in America during it’s opening weekend by bringing in $24.7 million.
Other debuts included “Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds,” which opened in second place with an estimated $16 million.
The weekend’s flops included Jennifer Aniston’s much-hyped comedy “Wanderlust,” which we heard is really funny, but only managed to do $6.6 million, and Amanda Seyfried’s thriller “Gone”which earned just $5 million.
