She hasn’t been faced with much of an audience test since 2004’s ‘Mean Girls,’ though her recent appearance on SNL did okay, but Lindsay Lohan has a fan in The Lifetime Network.
Lohan is set to star as Elizabeth Taylor in the new Lifetime film ‘Liz & Dick,’ and the actress attended the networks up fronts in New York City this week in support of the film.
Lifetime exec Nancy Dubuc has revealed to Access Hollywood that Lohan had no problem whatsoever convincing the network she was perfect for the role.
“What she said just embodied the story of ‘Liz & Dick,’ and really you could see in her heart and in her mind that she wanted this and that she wanted a chance to do it,” exlpained Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks. “Obviously, audiences love her and… she’s clearly going to drive a lot of viewers to this movie and so, of course, we want to be able to give her that platform and we’re thrilled that we can.”
It’s the first big stepping stone to her acting return, so how do you think it will go?
