‘Teen Mom’ star Amber Portwood has been sentenced to five years in prison for a drug arrest back in December of 2011.
Portwood was in court on Tuesday morning where her attorney asked the court for a reasonable sentence, but the judge ended up sticking to the terms of the original plea agreement.
The teen mother was originally sentenced to jail for five years, but was permitted to avoid the slammer by completing a drug rehab program. It was Portwood who decided she could not complete rehab and chose jail instead.
The case will be referred to the Indiana Department of Corrections therapeutic community program, and any previous time spent in jail already will be deducted from her sentence.
This may not be a Lindsay Lohan four hours in-and-out case, it looks like AP is going to be spending some time behind bars.
Hopefully everything works out in the best interest of her child.
Amber’s last season of ‘Teen Mom’ is currently airing on MTV.
