Paula Abdul’s Dance Show Cancelled

Paula Abdul is reportedly “devastated” over the cancellation of her show, ‘Live To Dance,’ and has been locked up in her LA home all weekend after receiving the bad news.

CBS has canned the show from coming back from a second season, and the fact that none of you probably even saw the first season is likely the reason for the cancellation.

A source close to Paula reveals:

“Paula kept hoping week after week that her show would pick up new viewers, but each week the ratings trailed off. It ended with only a little more than 4 million viewers watching the final… way too few for CBS to keep Paula’s dream dance show alive. ”

Ultimately this is potentially great news for Paula Abdul, as Simon Cowell is still in search of a female judge for his US version of ‘The X Factor,’ and though other celebs names like Cheryl Cole, Christina Aguilera, and Mariah Carey have been thrown out as potential judges, it’s obvious that the only thing that would bring more viewers to a show judged by Simon Cowell is a show judged by Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul together.

The pair are very close after spending 8 seasons on American Idol together, and we can’t imagine any reason Cowell would not be pondering the possibility of reuniting with Abdul on television.

Then it would be the official Idol killer.

Should Cowell call Paula Abdul to judge ‘The X Factor?’
