Breaking Down Ghostbusters III Rumors.

The poster is a fake, and Seth Rogen has denied that he’s working on a third Ghostbusters film right now, but if we play our cards right, all of this could end up a reality.

Reports earlier this week were naming Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow were on board for the third movie, but Rogen denied those claims while promoting Pineapple Express saying he knew nothing of a third movie being done, but it would be f*cking rad if they did.

This week those rumors started flying around again after a vague interview took place between Dan Akroyd and E! News.

Akroyd said;

“Two sharp young writers in Hollywood are purported to be writing the sequel, the third movie, now. If I could interest Seth and Judd to be a part of it, that would be a dream, absolute dream.”

Turns out to be good news for GB fans. The two writers who are purported (allegedly) writing the sequel are the writers from The Office, and they are moving forward with the script.

Naturally you need to get all the originals back I’d say, and it may be tough to get an old stick in the mud like Bill Murray, who has vowed to only do voice over work from here on out. I pray that this movie doesn’t end up CGI like TMNT was, if that’s the case, I say new cast.

Hopefully the writers write with Rogen and co. in mind, but can the Ghostbusters be a bunch of potheads?

It’ll be interesting to see what hapens.

Oh and by the way, the two gentlemen apparently writing the script, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, just wrote Original Ghostbuster Harold Ramis’ new film; Year One, which also happens to be produced by Judd Apatow, starring Michael Cera and McLovin from Superbad. See the circle here?
