20TH CENTURY FOX ANNOUNCES OPEN CASTING CALL
FOR NEW COMEDY BASED ON BEST-SELLING BOOK
DIARY OF A WIMPY KID
Twentieth Century Fox is holding an open casting call for the lead role in a
new motion picture comedy based on the best-selling book Diary of a
Wimpy Kid:
WHO: Young males, ages 11-14 only.
Successful candidates must be able to handle dialog and have a flair for ironic comedy.
All candidates should bring a current photo and snapshot, which will not be returned.
All candidates must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
WHAT: The best-selling illustrated novel Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney, chronicles the adventures of wise-cracking middle school student Greg Heffley over the course of an academic year, as told through Kinney’s cartoons. The filmmakers are seeking a bright, precocious and appealing young actor to portray the title character ‘Greg Heffley’ in a movie based on this novel.
