To cap off this holiday season, the Mexican edition of Playboy Magazine has put a nude version of the Virgin Mary on it’s cover.
The issue was released on Thursday and the cover girl is model Maria Florencia Onori who is only draped in an angelic white cloth.
Today Mexicans celebrate their traditional Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which is a celebration of an apparition of the Virgin in the town. The magazine, with a headline translating to “we adore you, Mary,” was strategically released one day before the day of celebration.
Does anyone find this offensive? I’m only offended that this is the cover of the Mexican version while we get stuck with Carmen Electra…
