The only thing worse than not winning an award at all, would be to win one and then have it taken away because the presenter was an idiot and called the wrong name.
At the NRJ awards in France this Saturday, Katy Perry was called up to the stage to accept the award for Best International Pop Song for “I Kissed a Girl,” (never mind the fact Rihanna’s ‘disturbia’ was playing in the background.)
At the end of the show, The host announced that there had been a mistake in the counting, and that Rihanna had really won for Disturbia, rather than Perry for Kissed. (hence disturbia playing in the background when Perry accepted.)
