For the first time ever last week, and artist reached the milestone of three million paid digital downloads for not one but two songs!
Katy Perry’s first hit single, I Kissed a Girl, along with her second hit, Hot and Cold, both have passed the three million mark in sales making it the first combo of songs to do so.
Perry wasn’t alone though, Rihanna joins her on the list of two to reach that milestone during the same week, for her 2007 smash Umbrella, and her 2008 smash Disturbia.
In total, eleven other artists have reached the three million mark for one single, but Katy and Rihanna ride alone in the two single department.
