Chris Brown Removes Himself From Kids Choice Nomination.

Chris Brown must have caught wind of the thousands of complaint letters from parents and adults to Nickelodeon for keeping him as a nominee for the Kids Choice Awards this spring, because he has withdrawn himself as a nominee from the two categories he was placed in.

Nickelodeon was bombarded with concern from people after chris brown was convicted of two felonies for the attack of Rihanna on February 9th, but seemed to turn the blind eye and keep Brown on as a nominee.

Parent’s dont think of Brown as much of a role model any more, and thats what the show is all about, right?

Well this morning, Chris Brown’s rep sent out a statement in which he was announcing his removement from Kids Choice nominations.  It said,

“Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated. While Chris would like to speak to his fans directly about this and other issues, pending legal proceedings preclude his doing so at this time. Once the matter before him has been resolved, he intends to do so.”

Clearly Chris is trying to do whatever seems like will make the public precieve him better.   Good luck though.

Clearly Nickelodeon doesn’t care about role models though,  If you look to other nominees, they have  people like Kid Rock, foul mouth rock star who is always in trouble with the law,  Michael Phelps, Olympic gold medalist and pot head, Miley Cyrus, Disney princess but known for a photo scandal or two or ten, and Lebron James, Soon to be MVP of the NBA and  un-wed father of two.

Let the kids like what they like, just don’t let them read the tabloids, or watch the news, or surf the internet without supervision.
