Screaming fans have forced Chace Crawford out of town!!
While in NYC on set filming Gossip Girl, Chace Crawford is no stranger to screaming fan girls lining the streets, but a recent growth in the fan population has got the tv star back in his native Texas home town hiding from it all.
It all started last week when it was reported that Crawford wowed film bosses while at a screen test to reprise Kevin Bacon’s role in the remake of the 1984 classic- Footloose.
Crawford is seeking the role that Zac Efron left behind in his bid to venture in to movies as well as his residency on hit TV show, Gossip Girl.
Apparently once the news broke, fans started lining the NYC streets singing the theme from Footloose every time Chace was around. E! News is reporting that “They had to beef up security because more girls have been showing up to set every day singing Footloose. Chace couldn’t take it anymore so he’s leaving town tomorrow.”
Dramatic, but I’m pretty sure he’s leaving town because Gossip Girl wrapped filming this week. So he’s likely just going to enjoy some family time.
