The highly anticipated new James Cameron movie, Avatar, debuted the official trailer today. I have no clue what this movie is about, but it’s getting major buzz. From what I can tell it’s about blue cat people who live in jungle, and there’s violence and love. The hot guy from Terminator: Salvation, Sam Worthington, maybe gets turned into a blue cat person?

Besides Worthington and Sigourney Weaver, the film stars a multitude of “where is s/he from?” actors including Zoe Saldana, Giovanni Ribisi, and CCH Pounder.
It hits theaters December 18, be sure to wear your blue cat person make up!
From what I gathered at comicon, it’s going to be the adult version of Ferngully — an animated feature about a human man who under magical/scientific circumstances finds himself befriending the native creatures of the rain forest — and learns about the destruction that his own race is causing to this fascinating group of blue tiger giraffes (instead of fairies). I can only hope that there is a manic-depressive rapping bat that does impressions throughout the whole movie to make it complete.
