Baseball’s Doug Reinhardt Being Sued by Former Landlord

A former landlord of Paris’ main squeeze Doug Reinhardt is suing the baseball player over some damages done to the property he lived at while filming his stint on The Hills.

Last September, Reinhardt sued landlord Mark Rooke for holding on to the $24,000 security deposit that he was hoping to have returned, minus the $2,332 he agreed to spend in repairs, but Rooke held onto  the money and is now filing a suit of his own.

Rooke is counter-suing Reinhardt on the grounds that Doug caused “substantial physical and other damage” to the house, while also targeting MTV bosses for “trespassing” on the property.  Rooke is seeking unspecified damages and legal costs.

I dont really care about his landlord drama, the thing I want to know about this story is why they keep referring to Doug Reinhardt as a baseball player.  He was drafted in 2004 and played minor league ball until hurting his knee.   I played when i was 9, does that make me a “baseball player” too?
