Not that we expected Nick Lachey to release some statement about how he got engaged first, so people need to stop talking about Jessica Simpson, but it was only a matter of time before someone asked him for his feelings on the big news that she and boyfriend Eric Johnson got engaged a week after Lachey announced his engagement to Vanessa Manillo.
While on a call for his NBC singing show “The Sing Off,” Lachey told reporters: I will say the same thing I always say: I wish her the very best.”
Jessica had the same answer when asked about Nick and Vanessa last week by Ryan Seacrest.
The former couple married in 2002 before splitting in 2005.
