Paris Hilton may be facing legal action over some borrowed jewels that were never returned, but it’s going to be a bit different from the troubles currently facing Lindsay Lohan.
Paris is being sued by an insurance company for not returning a $60,000 necklace she borrowed from Damiani Jewelers back in 2007, but the problem is, Paris doesn’t have the necklace.
According to Hilton, the necklace was one of the pieces stolen by the famous ‘bling ring’ when they robbed Hilton’s as well as many other celebrity homes.
Though a bunch of items were returned to Hilton when the gang was busted, she’s claiming that the necklace from Damiani was one of those that they had pawned.
She explains: “[The Burglar Bunch] pawned everything that was real…they only gave me back the costume stuff.”
While we don’t think Hilton is going to face the same music as Lohan, or even worry about a trial or jail time, she might have to write a pretty hefty check in the end!
