Los Angeles Dodgers File For Bankruptcy

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been forced to file for bankruptcy.

After MLB commish Bud Selig nixed a 3 billion dollar deal between Fox and Dodger owner Frank McCourt, the team had no choice, as it has failed to make payroll again.

Those owed include 23 current team members and former Dodger Manny Ramirez, who is owed $20,992,086.  Andrew Jones, also a former member, is owed $11,075,000 and current team member Matt Kemp is owed $216,944.

Even legendary Dodger announcer Vince Scully is owed $152,778.

McCourt was unable to challenge Selig’s denial of the loan, as it would allow the commissioner to sieze control of the team.
