It’s official, Lindsay Lohan will play Elizabeth Taylor in the new Lifetime movie, ‘Liz & Dick.’
Lohan has been rumored to have landed the part for nearly three months now, but the network confirmed the news on Monday.
Lifetime boss Rob Sharenow has confirmed the actress will play Taylor in a statement which reads;
“We are thrilled Lindsay will portray beloved Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor. She is one of the rare actresses who possesses the talent, beauty and intrigue to capture the spirit of such a provocative icon.”
Lohan herself added to the official release; “I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor. She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honoured to have been asked to play this role.”
The film is reported to start production in June, and the search is on for an actor who will play Richard Burton alongside Lohan.
