Ryan Seacrest Signs On For Two More Seasons Of ‘Idol’

There has been much speculation about the future of Ryan Seacrest’s career on American Idol, but the hit FOX singing competition has managed to lock him in for two more years.

The Idol host, who has been a part of the show since season 1, has been secured to stay on for seasons 12 and 13. This is despite the rumors that he’s been in contention to move to NYC and join ‘The Today Show,’ replacing Matt Lauer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, his two-year agreement will pay him $15 million per season, a pay day worth $30 million.

Seacrest fueled speculation of his move by announcing he would no longer be hosting E! News, and his nationally syndicated radio program could potentially be recorded from anywhere, but with the Idol deal, it looks like he’s keeping his empire in LA for at least two more years.
