Even though Kanye West sold a little less albums than he claimed during his NYC rant last week, he still landed himself atop of the Billboard Hot 200 this week.
West said he was going to sell 650,000 copies of his new album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ during a private concert in NYC, however he only ended up selling 496,000 copies. That number was enough to claim the top spot.
This marks West’s fourth number one album in a row.
Newcomer Nicki Minaj came in second with her album, ‘Pink Friday’ selling 375,000. Both Minaj and West are featured on each-others album.
