You’ve already heard Chris Brown’s father’s take on the possibility of Rihanna and Chris Brown rekindling their romance, and he was not in favor. However, the father of Rihanna has a different view on the whole situation.
Rihanna and Brown split back in 2009 after a highly publicized fight left her black and blue, and with Brown pleading guilty to an assault on the eve of the Grammy Awards. Speculation of a reunion has been going on for months now, after the couple reunited in a studio to record two new songs together.
Rihanna’s dad, Ronald Fenty, is convinced that Brown has matured since the incident, and insists that he is happy for her to rekindle the romance, should she so choose.
Fenty tells Britain’s Grazia magazine, “Chris has matured a lot. I think everybody has to put the past behind them. And they seem to have done that.
“Being a couple is all up to her. Every decision is her decision. I just wish her the best. I hope things will work out. Everyone is entitled to make a mistake. Her fans are hoping it will happen. They see them as a perfect couple.”
Fenty’s comments are the opposite of what Clinton Brown told Star Magazine a few months back, when he explained, “I do not condone everything that goes on with Chris, but I love my son with all my being. I am always concerned about him… He can make his own decisions. But, as a concerned parent, I would rather they not have any involvement… Sometimes you need to cut the strings and move beyond the past.”
