Lilith Fair Would Suck Without Kelly Clarkson; It Probably Will With Her, Too

lilith-fair-stage

OK, no homo times a million for admitting it, but this year’s Lilith Fair line-up looks almost one-quarter non-horrible:

Kelly Clarkson will soon take her pop anthems on the road as the latest artist to join the Lilith Fair. It was announced on Thursday (March 4) that Clarkson, The Bangles, The Go-Go’s, Dixie Chicks’ Emily Robison and Martie Maguire’s side project the Courtyard Hounds, Martina McBride and Suzanne Vega will be the latest ladies hitting the road for the female-focused festival.

They join previously announced acts like festival founder Sarah McLachlan as well as Ke$ha, Colbie Caillat, Tegan and Sara, Corinne Bailey Rae, Erykah Badu, Emmylou Harris, Metric, Jill Scott, La Roux and Loretta Lynn, to name a few.

Here we go!

Kelly Clarkson – hell yes

The Bangles – yes

The Go-Go’s – hell yes

Courtyard Hands – I don’t what it is, but no

Martina McBride – no

Suzanne Vega – sorta

Sarah McLachlan – I love “Building a Mystery” and “Sweet Surrender”; I would listen to those songs and leave before the line to exit the parking lot got too long

Ke$ha – better than any female folk singer

Colbie Caillat – I don’t know who she is, but no

Tegan and Sara – yes

Corinne Bailey Rae – nonono

Erykah Badu – no

Emmylou Harris – I think my friends like her, so I’ll refrain from commenting

Metric – At least they’re an actual rock band with a female singer

Jill Scott – that’s offensive

La Roux – I don’t who that is, but no

Loeretta Lynn – no

“to name a few” – I promise they’re all horrible
