Alison Iraheta Snags Danny Gokeys Record Deal

Ha ha ha! Things are looking gloomy for Danny ‘karaoke’ Gokey, American Idol’s third place contestant.

After AI 8 winner Kris Allen and  runner up Adam Lambert both snagged record deals with  19 Entertainment, the ball was in Danny Gokey’s court.

Typically, third place on Idol means it’s safe to say you got a deal as well, (though Syesha Mercado seemed to disappear off the face of the planet right?) well not this time!

Rather than signing Danny Gokey, who was in the competition way to long as it is, 19 decided to sign 17-year-old fourth placer, Alison Iraheta!

Alison was the shows resident rocker chick, and at one point many thought it would be her and Lambert squaring off in the final, but ended up being axed with 3 weeks to go.

Either way, she’s inked the deal and will be putting the album out this fall as well!

As for Gokey, according to EW.com, a 19 Ent. rep claims “there’s nothing to report yet.”

Your move, Gokey.

    Don’t get your undies in a bundle, Jerkyman Writer. I’d like to see you make it to top 3 out of 103,000 contestants in singing competition – much less a writing competition. Why the glee over Allison being signed before Danny? It’s not at all unusual for people to be signed out of Amer Idol rank! Get real!!

    Danny should have been in it longer, cuz his voice is HOTTT.

    Why be so down on Jerkeyman? I’ts not nice to assume he will ever be anything but a Jerk.He might have a great chance to get on a pro baseball team one day, cause if nothing else he sure knows how to FLING THE BS AROUND, doesn’t he?

    Duh, Jerkey, did it ever enter your mind that Danny might be the one taking his time, before making the wrong decision? He said he is not in this for the fame or fortune, as much as making a difference. It would be wise for him to consider all options before making a deal, and one thing that I get from him, is that he is nobody’s fool.

    Mr. Fakkyou and his wife BJ are so right. Jerkyman is a total douche bag and should be sent to hell immediately!
    No disrespect to Allison because she is awesome as well, but you dont have to worry about Danny Gokey, he’s gonna make it big.

    Love premature stories like this. Alison’s CD bombed and Danny’s single is riding up the Country charts. Danny has a great voice! Anybody who doesn’t hear this must have gone to the Britney Spears (baby-voice) Scohool of Singing…
