Celebrities used to go to Japan and film commercials that would be cheesy to the average American and score a big pay day with the satisfaction of knowing that the only way it would be seen by Americans is if by chance they were visiting Japan on a vacation.
In the age of YouTube, that notion is out the window, but stars are still filming these spots, because why not, It’s like free money.
Hilary Duff is the new face of Disney Mobile in Japan, and has filmed a bunch of commercials for the cellular phones singing disney classics.
