Yesterday’s hot news was this new photo shoot for GQ featuring some of the cast of Glee.
Even though cast members Lea Michele and Dianna Agron are both 24-years-old and Corey Monteith is 28, the Parents TV Counsel is up in arms over this spread.
They claim in a statement:
“It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on Glee in this way. It borders on pedophilia,” the statement reads.
“By authorizing this kind of near-pornographic display, the creators of the program have established their intentions on the show’s direction,” the statement concludes. “And it isn’t good for families.”
High school aged characters can be 18! No issue there.
And if they think this is the creators of the program establishing their intentions on the show’s direction, then obviously they have never seen an episode.
Activists should just mind their business and pay attention to their own children, not everybody elses.
We say props to whoever gave the OK on this shoot.
