Nicki Minaj has been off of Twitter for about a week now, and there seem to be no signs of a return just yet.
Minaj suspended her account last week after a link to her album was leaked online. The singer wrote, “Like seriously, its (sic) but so much a person can take. Good f**king bye.”
Though she had nearly 11 million folllowers, Nicki has revealed that she regularly received abusive messages from users – but she misses being in contact with her admirers, Telling The Sun, “Reinstate my account? I don’t know yet. I have to say, I’ve been kind of enjoying life without Twitter. But I feel bad on the Barbz (fans). They got really sad when I deleted it.”
“I think most artists will experience a lot of negative people on Twitter but, thank God, I’ve got so many followers that I’m not able to see them that much. I’ll see some from time to time but, for the most part, I always focus on something good.”
“But the way I deal with it is if I see someone tweet something bad, I’ll re-tweet it and put some lewd thing back.”
Twitter gives users 30 days to reconsider and re-open their account. She’s got about three weeks left before she’s forced to start from scratch.
