Guy Fieri Responds To Harsh Restaurant Review

Food Network star Guy Fieri has fired back at the man who wrote a harsh review of his new Manhattan restaurant.

Writer Pete Wells pretty much talked down about every part of Guy’s American Kitchen and Bar, in which he wrote; “Any idea why it tastes like some combination of radiator fluid and formaldehyde?” “How did Louisiana’s blackened, Cajun-spiced treatment turn into the ghostly nubs of unblackened, unspiced white meat in your Cajun Chicken Alfredo?” “By the way, would you let our server know that when we asked for chai, he brought us a cup of hot water?”

Fieri appeared on the Today Show, in which he responded to the review by saying; “I thought it was ridiculous. I mean, I’ve read reviews… there’s good and there’s bad in the restaurant business, but that to me went so overboard, it really seemed like there was another agenda.”

The chef claims that he thinks it’s all part of a plan to make a name for himself by blasting a celebrity chef.  He adds, “It’s a great way to make a name for yourself — go after a celebrity chef that’s not a New Yorker that’s doing big concept in his second month. Great way to hit it.”

Fieri also had one more message for Wells in response to the writers recent fame;  “You’re welcome.”
