Family Guy Still Treated Like Crap at Fox Despite Emmy Noms

Fox apparently has no idea that Family Guy is nominated for a bunch of Emmys, including Best Comedy, because they’re back to doubting Seth MacFarlane‘s billion dollar brain of his. The network is allegedly planning to not air a Family Guy episode because too controversial. I know what you’re thinking. What’s left to censor on that show? Well…

The episode in question is about abortion, and giving Family Guy‘s track record, I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that it’s ever-so-slightly politically incorrect. Fox gave them the money to produce it, but is now singing a different, totally terrified tune:

“20th Century Fox, as always, allowed us to produce the episode and then said, ‘You know what? We’re scared to f–king death of this,'” MacFarlane said.

A Fox spokesperson said that no decision has yet been made on the matter.

The episode will probably be available on DVD, he added.

Is everyone forgetting that Seth MacFarlane sang a Prom Night Dumpster Baby song with a kicklining dumpster baby chorus? How about an entire episode about promoting the legalization of marijuana? Those ideas made it through but not the precious fragileness of discussing abortion?

Oh, just air it already. By the time Fox realizes it’s freaking Family Guy and not an episode of Maude from the 70s, South Park will have written and animated an entire season dedicated to miscarriages.
